Meet Robbie Crypt Crash

About Me.
Yo Whats up everybody,
I’m Robbie Crypt Crash. I was hanging out in NYC from the late 70’s to the late 80’s. I first met the Stimulators and shortly after I was their roadie. Being involved with the scene I met lots of people and living with Danny and Nancy, we started The Crypt Crashers. We played only one show at CBGB’s. Nancy got pregnant and that was the end of the band. The only OG punk who was at the gig was Nick M.
Next, I met Vinnie Stigma and played drums for his band The Zoo crew. The name was soon changed to Agnostic Front. My memory fails me but somehow, I ended up in Cause For Alarm. We played many gigs, recorded a record, and went on tour across the country. During this time, I played with other bands. Counterforce, The NCM crew, and Sadistic exploits to name a few. I filled in for a few gigs with Murphys Law and as many did I played guitar with The Cavity Creeps.

As for employment, I started as a bike messenger and when the bicycle broke I grabbed my skateboard and continued as a messenger. Construction paid much more so I went thru many different construction jobs finally settling on Masonry. I worked for the same company till I moved from NYC.
In the mid to late 80’s I got kicked out of Cause For Alarm. After a tour, a record, and tons of shows, I was suddenly not good enough. How does someone do that? Not be good enough for a hardcore band. WELL I DID. I got kicked out.
After a year or more and with no music in my future, I was asked to come help on my families dairy farm. I answered the call and moved out of the city. During this time I got Married, had two children and continued on the farm until it was sold. I fell back on my masonry skills and started my own company building chimneys and such.
One of my hobbies during this time was learning Experimental Archeology. Also known as primitive living skills. How to make a bow, Arrows, tanning hides, fire with out a match. Basically learning to live off the land as First nations people did. Knowing that my body would not withstand much more masonry abuse, It was Easy to switch to teaching these skills to anyone that was interested. It was quite successful and traveled to many of the states in New England. I am still teaching these skills to this date.

As time passed the winds of divorce began to blow and was divorced shortly after. A year or so later I moved out west. Looking to replace the high energy of the NYHC life I found the thrill of outdoor extreme sports. Rafting, Climbing, Hiking Biking snowmobiling, ATV’s became the new thrill. I guided Rafts on a near by river during the summer. In the winter I guided people on snowmobile. I also guided people on ATV trips.
2016 changed everything. My father passed away. Since his passing I have lost every other family member except for one sister. In late 2020 I also lost my wife and her daughter. The last four years, since the passing of my wife, have proved to be very difficult. I forgot to have fun and more importantly, forgot how important being in the back country is to me.
Recently the jeep named Sting Gray, has come into my life. Being older and with a busted up bodyfrom all the heavy lifting, driving into the outback puts me in the outdoor environment again. This is the birth of NYHC offroad.
I hope to bring incredible places and some crazy trails to people who might not be able to get there. This country is so beautiful with some real unbelievable places. Geology is also of interest to me and getting to many different formations still keeps me guessing how these places were formed.
I am currently living 25 miles from the nearest town and a few miles south of the Canadian border.
So sit back, relax and come along for the ride!
